L'oree Du Port - Nice

We first went to our first evening in nizza through this restaurant. After reviewing the other restaurants nearby, I decided to come back to this because of their reasonable prices. my man ordered a bare white wine that was good, he ordered a...Salad and the grilled garnel. I ordered the auberginenparmasean and the lup. our appetizers were well prepared and delicious. as far as the deerees are concerned, our seafood was a bit overboiled, but edible. the service was attentive. I would have rated the restaurant with 4 but as the seafood was overcooked, I guess it was 3.

The escalope du veau was extremely burned, the chop meat in the linguini bolognese was raw and the meeresbass was completely, but dirty. and the fries are baked and dry.

Came early to see the harbour and all pleasure boats, etc. this restaurant has a cheap (posted) menu, so we sat around 17.30 clock. a very nice and inexpensive bottle of white ordered, and thought we would order the wein and order dinner....Well, waitress said they were not served before 19 o'clock, so we drank all the wein left to go around the harbour, then returned to order and eat an exceptionally good evening meal.

We had gone too foot and had not realized how late it was (from 2 o'clock,) when we decided to find a place to lunch. this ice cream was a good choice, the meals we have chosen were of good quality, service was friendly and efficient and, a great...server, the drinks were not at a break price. we chose the calves with champignons and pasta with garlic, basilikum and creamfraiche. delicious. the bill was 34 € for 2 meals, 2 local craftsmen beer and a beautiful wine, quite ok for the tourist stripes along the harbour. we chose an end table on the windy side, so we are able to dinate in the free sans zigarettenrauch.

New management, new staff, renovated and a great seafood restaurant with a cosy and friendly atmosphere. Maitre D a friendly, professional personality, a familiar face with many years of experience in the old port area.
