le Barbecue - Nice

We reserved a table but they didn't keep one for us. When we asked how long we will have to wait they were extremely rude and dismissive with us. Very very bad service and in the end we left after 30 mins even after reserving a table. AVOID at all costs.

The fish soup was very tasty with nice oven baked croutons, cheese which melted nicely and a nice spicy rouille. The main course of lamb chops and grilled sirloin were OK, nothing amazing. You get a huge pile of oven baked potatoes and peppers which could feed 4 with ease. The service was very nice.

This is a great restaurant located in a lovely part of the old town. Food was cooked to perfection. We had the chicken skewers, which were amazing, accompanied by really nice vegetables. It was really good sized portions. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We checked Tripadvisor before going out this night since we tried to get a good BBQ/Meat restaurant for the evening, and the reviews sounded quite ok. And the dinners were ok. But not awesome - more like an decent lunch, or something I could have done myself. Good taste, nice service and plenty of food, but not the super nice experience we were looking for.

Set among many other 'tourist' restaurants but much better service and standard of food. Only had a main course which was very large portion. Wanted to try the desserts but were too full. Greta value and overall good meal. Sirloin was a bit fatty and perhaps more rib-eye than sirloin but cooked well and tasty. Not rushed to leave while we finished our wine and even had another bottle of water dropped off by the waiter while we drank it. Would go back if in Nice again.
