Brasserie du Vieux Port - Nice

Tastes are quite different. We really liked the food and service here. We didn 't have the poor experience other customers had. Just try it for yourself if in the area. Great value for money.

Doesn't look anything special but we had a lovely lunch with really friendly service. Delicious spaghetti carbonara, pesto penne, and two croque monsieurs, with drinks for about E50. Pretty good value we thought.

Food here is decent and not out of the range for the area, but the service is quite poor, pizzas are quite good

We called into this restaurant bar for a pint and to watch one of the Euro football matches on the TV. The Leffe beer was excellent, the food on a neighbouring table looked very tasty and the service was very good and friendly up to a point. The toilet facilities are limited and I found myself having to wait over twenty minutes while one of the staff was busily engaged in one the most thorough toilet cleaning operations ever witnessed. Not sure if this was by design or to make a point but the employee, adopting a Basil Faulty demeanour, objected strongly to me sneaking past him into the toilet. He then proceeded to switch the light off! If this bizarre incident was intended to make the visit memorable it certainly worked. I would certainly return if only for the beer and entertainment value.

A pleasant place, good food and good attention. I always find attractive visiting a place where locals meet and this is the case.
