Very very good Italian cuisine. The Braised Short Ribs over Mashed Potatoes with Asparagus was fantastic. My son said the the Penne with Vodka Sauce was really good. The meatballs appetizer was very good. The Southern Ice Tea cocktail was GREAT!! I rarely give out 5 Stars, so Castello being a SOLID 4.5 Stars is high praise in my book. There is not a single criticism about my experience here. I will definitely come back again. Service: Dine in

While the service was commendable, with attentive staff that made us feel welcome, the food unfortunately did not meet expectations and left much to be desired. The atmosphere was average—not particularly memorable but not unpleasant either. Overall, while the service was a bright spot, the lackluster food made it difficult to fully enjoy the evening.

We decided to try the Castello special pizza, which sounded great on the menu with plenty of vegetables and meat. However, when it arrived, the toppings were quite sparse. I didn't even notice the single piece of bacon on it until my wife pointed it out. I plan to add more toppings and reheat it tonight. It’s a shame because the crust and sauce were excellent; it was just the lack of toppings that let it down. As for the service, it was generally slow despite the fact that there were only two or three other customers in the restaurant.
