Fournos Restaurant

Not only were we lucky to find parking at their lot, but Low and behold what a great Resturant! We sat outside, and Helen was outstanding as a waitress. Great Greek food or whatever you want! With her husband, they were excellent conversationalists! Outstanding salads, roll ups and fries! Couldn't have had a better lunch in the city!

My wife and I had lunch at Fournos, sharing grilled octopus and Greek salad. The octopus had very good flavour, but was quite tough and chewy. The portion size felt a bit small for the price. The salad was a good size, and very typical of many Greek restaurants. The feta cheese was better than at many Greek restaurants where we have eaten. The patio seating was very pleasant, and it was a pretty quiet place for conversation. We noticed almost everyone else had ordered French Fries, so maybe that is a good specialty.

We went to Fournos for supper for the family outing and were very pleased with the results. The kids enjoyed their kids meal and had more than enough in their plates. We enjoyed the souvlaki plates with a bottle of some local wine of the region. Would recommend if you're not looking for an expensive supper while on vacation.

It was expensive for the quality of the food and the service we received. Our waiter was in personable and seemed annoyed to deal with us. The staff overall seemed distant. I ordered the Greek platter which consisted of very dry processed meat. It did come with a few delicious vegetables. My husband did ask for a salad so they brought him a separate menu because there are no salads on the dinner menu. He would describe his salad as okay. We ate on a back patio with good background music. It could have been a lot of fun if the quality of service and food could match the price. If this is too much maybe they could lower prices.

We all love Greek food and so we were quite excited to sit outside with lovely surroundings, enjoying the fresh air while having our lunch.When the food came we were extremely disappointed, to say the least.The Greek salad had nearly no feta cheese, just a few pieces of cucumber sitting on a huge pile of lettuce. The chicken souvlaki was poorly served, inside pita bread with tasteless tzatziki. Not a souvlaki, at all.Staff were not that polite either.I feel like I wasted my precious time in this lovely town by sitting in Fournos, when I could have had a good food experience elsewhere.
