Rainforest Cafe - Niagara Falls

Both my wife and I got food poisoning at this restaurant today. It was the only meal we had and we did not share any other food. These symptoms did not appear to be related to celiac disease. I highly recommend avoiding this restaurant. We traveled from Boston specifically to visit a Rainforest Cafe and this experience greatly affected our trip.

My experience at this restaurant was extremely disappointing. I asked to speak to the manager about gluten-free options as I am newly diagnosed with celiac disease and still learning what I can and cannot eat. However, my waiter dismissed my request and simply told me to let him know my allergies. I mentioned my celiac disease and asked for gluten-free suggestions, but the menu did not provide any information. I ended up ordering a taco salad, which was bland and outrageously priced at $22. I later found out they offered gluten-free pasta, but I was not informed until after I had already received my meal. The lack of communication and attentiveness from the staff was very frustrating. I had been looking forward to trying Rainforest Cafe for the first time with my family, but I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone with celiac disease. The food was not worth the high prices, and the service was subpar, with forgetful waitstaff and lack of refills. I would suggest avoiding this place altogether.

Loved the food. Waiter was knowledgeable and personable. I usually never go out to eat because I think it’s playing Russian Roulette at most place but I have eaten here 3 times and each time it was excellent and I did not get sick.

My son has celiac and we ate twice! He loves her gf burger and white rice!!! Very recommended! They were safe and the manager was really nice and made sure everything was perfectly cooked.

Helpful staff, good food and gluten-free bread was delicious.
