Kool Katts Caribbean Restaurant

Visited Kool Katts with 3 other couples and was not disappointed. We shared jerk chicken and roti. Great meal and very reasonable.

We are Caribbean travelers and one of us is even a born Kingstonian so we like to try our down home favorites when we travel. There is a Jamaican restaurant in every medium sized town or so it seems. This restaurant is near to the downtown tourist area. In fact, you can even take the WEGO tourist bus if you do not have a car for the very short ride. We were excited about this restaurant because ut also had a juice bar. Unfortunately they did not have the supplies for the juice bar and could not serve us the traditional Jamaican sorrel, tamarind, etc. One of us is a big meat eater and they permitted him to order a split entree which included a 1/2 order of jerk chicken and 1/2 order of oxtail. The food was good, but felt like one generation removed from the homeland. They allowed the non meat eater to order a veggie plate with rice and beans.Definitely worth trying.

Good Jerk Chicken! I was driving by and saw this place and came in and was surprised with the good flavor.

Stopped by this place on our visit to the Niagara's FallsMy boyfriend is Jamaican so we love exploring local Caribbean restaurants.
