Przekaż informację zwrotnąStopped here on July 7, returning to Toronto from a cottage in Sundridge. I was hungry for a hard-to-find Kawartha ice-cream outlet. Finally saw this little roadside shop that sold several flavours of this creamy rich ice-cream. They also had a full slate menu including burgers, fries, Poutine etc. Just had the ice-cream ($4 for double scoop) and on my way, happy. Just regular cones or cup, no waffle cones . Great stop. Quite busy, which is a good sign. Pretty town of McKellar
This espresso bar/gelato/sandwich/pastry bar is fantastic! The gelato is authentic, the coffee is amazing, and the service is great. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the accordion player on the patio made me feel like I was back in Italy. It's a bit off the beaten path, but definitely worth the walk.
Jimmy’s is the spot where the locals and service industry professional dine after hours and have a good time chatting it up with the owner…Jimmy! The place closes around 3:00AM and my wife and I stumbled in after visiting the Canadian side of Niagara Falls by night. We knew there was nothing worth eating near our hotel on the American side. We had Panini and they were very good and inexpensive. I made the mistake of ordering a Molsen…Should have had a proper mixed drink instead. The staff is very personable and outgoing. Definitely stop in if you are looking for an inexpensive meal in the area of the Falls and off the beaten tourist path!
I can't believe I'm the first one to leave a review! Well, here it goes. I hope my review can guide others to this charming local spot. My husband and I go to Niagara Falls several times a year, and we like to immerse ourselves in the local culture by taking local transportation, dining where the locals do, and avoiding tourist traps. After exploring Clifton Hill, we headed downtown to enjoy some local shops and restaurants. After checking out of our hotel, we went searching for a local cafe or restaurant for lunch. That's when we stumbled upon Jimmy's. The restaurant had a nice, spacious patio in front and a cozy interior. The menu wasn't extensive, but it had enough options for a simple lunch. The restaurant is run by a friendly elderly man (I'm not sure if he's Jimmy), who provided excellent service. We enjoyed delicious sandwiches, gyros, salads, coffee, and drinks. The homemade feta and spinach spanakopita were particularly delicious, even for someone who isn't a fan of spanakopita. The man was so kind that he insisted on bringing everything to our table, from drinks to food. The bill came to around $20, which was very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. The restaurant also had a working jukebox, and the entire place, including the bathroom, was impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. My husband and I both loved our experience at Jimmy's, and we will definitely be returning in the future. I personally give this restaurant a five-star rating. We highly recommend giving Jimmy's a try!
After visiting the illuminated Falls at night, we decided to stop by Jimmy's around midnight since there weren't many other options available. We decided to give it a try.
