The Country Chalet, located on Dixon Street, right across from the Four Points Hotel, has a nice Breakfast Buffet being offered for $6.99 plus Coffee and Juices extra. Eggs, Bacon, Pancakes etc...best deal in town. Nice outdoor seating area,
Went to this place with my kiddos this morning. The server was helpful. Each meal was to be $7, thankfully she only charged me the kid price for my three kids. Otherwise I would have been quite upset. First you are stuffed into this restaurant. Then the "buffet" consists of nasty muffins and not fresh toast. The boiled eggs were the hardest to peel ever. The sausage was gross. And the bacon was a greasy pile, could not pick out a single strip. The homefries were dry. But what I found to be worst of all is the $3 bottles of water. That was the most frustrating to me.
We received a free breakfast with them from our hotel, but I would've chosen to eat here anyway. It is a good value for what is available. Very basic breakfast of eggs, pancakes, breakfast meats and an assortment of juices or coffee.
The buffet is decent and only $6.99 CAD. Please note that drinks are not included in the price and are extra, but not that much extra. The staff was very attentive even though this was a buffet. Thumbs up to the Country Chalet. Once we realized the IHOP was so pricey and not good, we were lucky to find this place. Ate there 4 days in a row.
