You still get to see and hear the waves on the beautiful beach, without the bother of over-excited restaurant and shop promoters, and people watching you eat. Everything I had on the menu (I was here for multiple breakfasts, lunches, and dinners - I kept coming back once I found this place) was scrumptious, cooked from scratch to order. They have a nice mix of comfort food and health food within and without Keralan Indian cuisine. Arguably the best part of the restaurant is one of the owners who is there everyday on site, Yousef. He's friendly, respectful but lighthearted and warm, and will go to lengths to accommodate whatever you need. He's also a trip planner so he has tons of great advice on traveling if you're on a flexible travel schedule like I was. He even let me into the kitchen to take some private cooking lessons with the chef (also an awesome person) on two occasions, during quieter times! I can't say enough good things about the experience.
Dinner was really good, this place had a very nice vibe! The staff is really friendly, they will make you feel at home.
Prior to COVid, I recommended this place as the place to eat! Great food and service…but we returmed in February 2023, to be throughly disappointed…we ordered pasta prawn and a pasta chicken dish. Pasta was extremely overcooked, few to no prawns to be found and little chicken… the sauce was doctored catsup and they even provided a bottle of catsup, I guess, to add to sauce. I have to remember this is India and not Italy… ect, but it was below expectations from what Anitha’s was prior to COVid. They indicated they would take a card but it was a hassle… so I paid cash and hope they get their act together to what they once were. Disappointed….
I discovered this restaurant on TripAdvisor and decided to give it a try. Initially, I had trouble finding it as all roads seemed to lead to dead ends. However, after locating a restaurant called 'Miami', I found the alley to the right which led me to the restaurant, located about 50 yards away. Upon arrival, we were greeted by friendly staff in a clean and welcoming restaurant. We ordered Keralan chicken (a spicy Indian alternative to KFC), paneer curry, two servings of rice, naan, and drinks, all for about £12. The food was delicious and expertly cooked. I highly recommend this place, it was superb!
It is not on the beach of kovalam and that is why it is a more trankilo and authentic place. it is simply on the street of back, near the lighthouse and still adi you can see the sea while dinner on the terrace.the attention is 10 and the food also. I recommend it 100%.They helped us a lot with recommendations about Indian, which Nuuuunca are too much, and more coming from local people. Don't miss it!
