Steki Taverna - Newtown

Really funny, vibe - super loud and lively! Live music people dance. The food was good value for money and exactly what you would expect. The service is not great. Waitress would not share ours Bill, so we had to get our phones out and do it yourself, which was just odd. Heap of empty older men there, so make sure they pay attention to it.

We just arrived late Wednesday night in Sydney and decided to go for a dinner. We went on this place to see an empty restaurant, and share, when Newtown is always busy, we were a bit hesitant, but decided to give it a go. We decided to go with the banquet, and I'm so glad we did it. This place is amazing. My friend and I both think that the banquet we enjoyed here was made fresh and absolutely perfect. The owner was nice and the service was good. We came back on Saturday to eat it again before we have gone, but the place was packed and unfortunately we could get no table. If you want a good Greek food, this is the place to go.

The food was by no means bad and while we had enjoyed our Souvlaki and fish, the value was pretty bad. In addition, the opening hours at Steki are a bit uncomfortable. However, it is more important to us, but the cost of food was a bit nice, the service was hit and missed, and the place was gloomy and lazy. Grief Live music is fun, but can be a bit loud that affects the ambience of food in Steki. Grief All in all, we are looking forward to have finally tried this restaurant, but not in a hurry to return.

I really enjoyed the time when I went to Steki. We were late at night and loved the atmosphere, music and returned with a few great food and drink.

Been here a few times. Never left disappointed! Service is professional and friendly. Decor is true blue Greek taverna! Love it!I would highly recommend the grilled octopus and the lamb! Oh the lamb was so amazing! After you pay, Greek style baklava is on the house! What a sweet deal!
