The food was very good. We had excellent oysters, Tuna Poke App, which was very delicious. For Entrees we had Steak and Lachs, both very good. Our service was definitely what the show stole for us. Jillian was our server, she was fantastic! Very personally able, gave excellent food recommendations. We love interaction with our local restaurant staff and she hasn't disappointed. We're coming back!
Excellent steakhouse! I am from Texas and my grandparents grew up in the Middle West, so I know a good steak, and I am often unable to find one in the northeast, even in higher places. That said Rocco 's Cowboy Ribeye didn't disappoint! Yeah, it's $70 for a steak. But you know what? I was to soooo many other places and paid $50 for a steak that was 't very good or that the restaurant could 't even cook right, so I will like to pay $70 for a perfectly cooked, high quality steak. Icing on the cake is the service. It was always nothing but extraordinary. At a recent visit, Ashlie took care of us very well. The drinks are strong and cost on par with other restaurants where they are regular strength, so I would say they are priced on drinks. I really don't understand why people complain about Rocco being too expensive. We spent over $200 pre-tip for 2 people and I felt it was worth every penny.
It was good. We went to my birthday and sat outside. The ambience was beautiful. The waitress was great. Very attentive. Drinks were good. We had crab cakes (they were good) and shell pot (mediocre) for apps.. for dinner we had the Chilean sea bass aqua Panna (it was good), 8oz fillet with additional diver scallops (filet boiled med rare, but had too much of a crust like the scallops) and 20oz dry aged ribeye.. the best cake. Dessert was fine. Overall, probably will not be back, especially for what it costs. Anyway, it's better.
Very pleasantly surprised. Was suggested by a friend, so we tried. Burger was great! Not cheap, but good, $19.00. Salmon was fresh and cooked for perfection. Atmosphere is airy and pleasant. I'm going back to check her steaks I said can be grilled? Pittsburgh Style? this is the only way to eat steak (in my humble opinion). Valet parking was also a plus.
It was good. Not wowed, but good. Towards the end of the night there were not too many people and we still were missing the bread basket... That's fine, but I can't be having my wine on an empty table... The oyster Rocco feller were the best I have had so far from all over the world. The best! French onion soup also very good. It's a large bowl, so be careful how much you order. I had the Oscar special very good but ... there was something missing, I'm gonna say the sauce was not enough... I tried to have it with the butter knife but ended up needing a steak knife. Scottish salmon was good. Didn't have room for dessert but the choices were not enticing either... Overall, the balance between the meal and the prices was not there. The staff though was super friendly and cute! For the upscale experience that Rocco's is striving for there's room for improvement.
