Dumpling House (walnut St) - Newton

Food wasn’t that good coming from a Chinese person. The waiters were busy and ignored us. The waiter lady had to go in to cook or something and wait everybody at the same time. The owners understaff them or something. They are extremely understaffed so if u come here don’t expect good service but food is extremely decent. Dinner time btw and it’s not even half filled.

A great place for authentic Chinese dumplings and other delicious dishes. They have some standard American Chinese foods on the menu, but this is a place with real Chinese regional food too. Their vegetable dishes are excellent, as are their their fish dishes (delicious and delicate! , really we haven't found anything we haven't enjoyed. The dining room is spartan but perfectly fine for a pleasant meal.

I ordered from their catering menu for a work lunch and everyone loved the food! We got scallion pancakes, chicken wings, general Gao's, tofu with vegetables, veg lo mein, pork leek dumplings, chicken dumplings, and spinach egg dumplings. All the food was great and the staff was very helpful. Special thank you to Kenny for helping me pick the food and for being so accommodating. This place is such a hidden gem. Food is INCREDIBLE and the portions are very generous. Can’t wait to eat here again!

Dumpling House is one of my favorite local spots! The soup dumplings are absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.
