Fabulous birthday dinner! Lively even on Sunday night.

The staff at Mastro 's is always top notch. Notably, our server (Erika) was appropriately attentive and helpful. Everything from the steaks to the side dishes were done very well, as usual. We are never disappointed with the steaks. The 'only ' exception was the asparagus, which was a bit fibrous. We would have been happy with the tips, which eliminates much of the fibrous lower stalk, but I understand customers tend to want the full stalk. On the positive side, the halibut was thick and perfectly seared. Some of the best halibut we 've ever had, as it can be difficult to cook such a delicate fish. The wild mushrooms in truffle butter and garlic mashed potatoes were also very good. We really enjoy visiting Mastro 's and will certainly be back again.

We had an amazing birthday dinner here tonight! Our server, Betsy, and her table side partner Edwin were both absolutely perfect! From the food to the service to the live background music, the night couldn’t have been better!! And when you think you’re full and can’t eat anymore, you must still have their signature butter cake. You’ll find room for it.
