We had fried chicken dumplings, teigssacks, crabcakes and calamari for appetizers. we had thunfish, lachs, crispy chicken sandwiches with french fries and pommes. we also had chicolate cake. the food was decent overall.

I was here a few times to lunch. always great service. eating is delicious. beautiful view of the boats from the deck. really nice place to hang out while in newport!

Great menu. large menu with many different types of food. I enjoyed the service, the ambiente and the food. will be back to try more.

Excellent Lunch during Restaurant Week 2013. It is restaurant week in Newport (11/1 11/10, 2013), so we have been trying to get to places not previously visited. The Mooring has been on our list for too long, so we booked a table (via OpenTable) for lunch. A real class act. Nice menu with some really interesting flavors. (Try the Bag of Donuts over drinks Service is attentive without being intrusive. All in all, well worth the wait –even in season.
