The meal started with a refreshing wedge salad that was expertly prepared with crisp romaine lettuce, smoky bacon, tangy blue cheese, and a sublime homemade ranch dressing. Next, I enjoyed the homemade cavatelli dish with perfectly cooked broccolini and spicy sausage. The flavors were vibrant and balanced, creating a truly unforgettable dining experience. The cod dish I sampled from my wife's plate was juicy and infused with lemon, showcasing the chef's skill. Even the desserts, including a lemon tart and peanut butter mousse cake, surpassed my expectations and left me wanting more. The modern and stylish atmosphere of 1639, complete with a picturesque marina view, enhanced the dining experience. The exceptional service, led by our server Melissa, and the personal touch of meeting Gene from the management team made the evening even more special. The only downside was a large, unruly group with children who disrupted the dining ambiance. Despite this, I firmly believe that 1639 has set a new standard with its meticulous preparation of dishes, impeccable service, and breathtaking ambiance. It is undoubtedly Newport's top restaurant in 2024 and will continue to be a culinary gem for years to come. I highly recommend 1639 to any food enthusiast looking for a taste of culinary perfection.
I once went to a restaurant for a work dinner with a fashion designer named Ofelia, as well as her sister Charlize, who owns an art gallery in Newport. The place was very nice.
