Mo's Seafood Chowder (original)

This was AMAZING! I had the Oregon pink shrimp Alfredo, which came with a cup of chowder and garlic bread. Pure heaven. The view is from the docks and very entertaining. The service was fabulous.

We love Mo's! The shrimp-dinner salad is WONDERFUL, just like the Chowder. We recommend that you order the family style chowder so you can take something back into your room. Oh, and in Taft are oyster crackers and Halibut available on request. The photo is from the grilled Heilbutt dinner and Kohl/Shrimp salad in the Mo's Annex in Newport. We went to every mo's as often as we could, while on the beach.

Good Chowder. Our waitress tried the Chipotle sauce and it was delicious. This place is worth the effort when you're in the area.

08/10/22 First time at this location [drove an hour to try it]. Right on the waterfront, where fishing boats unload their catch. This location has a rather different menu from other Mo's locations we've been to e.g., less focus on deep fried, and multiple presentations for most entrees, both of which we liked! Be cautious with their Steamers, wife had 4 5 very gritty and gave up. I ate the rest only getting 1 2 with grit, but they really should soak them longer to get all the sand out. My shrimp tacos were very good, and the chowder exceptional. Wife's shrimp salad was also very good. We ordered a Family size take out chowder for dinner, as it might be the best ever. Highly recommended. Our server Justin was very pleasant, helpful, and just plain enjoyable to work with. Will definitely return to this location, even if staying at Lincoln City, which has a Mo's too. We like the Lincoln City location for deep fried fish, but prefer the fish presentations in Mo's Annex at Newport. You can't go wrong with Mo's chowder, at *any* of their locations!
