Jack Sprats Bayfront - Newport

My mother and I had a great dining experience! The menu clearly states if dishes are gluten-free, vegetarian, keto, etc. This made it very easy for my vegetarian mother and me (who is gluten-free) to order without having to ask the server a bunch of questions. Whitney, our bartender/server, was friendly and even took the time to find the unique but delicious raspberry vinaigrette recipe for me. I had the hazelnut-crusted halibut with asparagus, both of which were cooked perfectly. My mom ordered the tofu-based coconut club, which was also delicious and well-marinated. Overall, we enjoyed our meal at this restaurant.

The restaurant offers a lovely view of the marina through large picture windows. We were promptly seated and the staff was very friendly. I ordered the chicken strips which were tasty and clearly made in-house. The seasoning was just right. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. The decor may be outdated but overall, it is a decent spot for dinner.

This restaurant is dog friendly if you choose to sit on the deck. The views of the Newport bridge and docks are fantastic. The menu offers a variety of options including burgers, salmon, cod and salads. I have dined here multiple times and consistently enjoyed the friendly staff and generous portions of delicious food.

Excellent food, reasonable prices, good service all with an amazing view of the bay front.
