Pasha Balti - Newport

I only had a nice meal here. everything our food was really good, but my garlic and coriander nan brot was exceptional.

Since moving to Newport, I have eaten here four times. The first time, I was almost turned off by the empty atmosphere, but every other time, except when it was empty, I just don't understand why. All of my friends who I dragged down there love it as much as I do – the food is the highlight and the host is incredibly nice, always going above and beyond. You can immediately tell how much care and work has gone into the food; it is always of a very high standard and exceptionally delicious. When we asked the hostess about how they manage to keep the restaurant open, she explained that they chose not to sell alcohol, which may have been a mistake, but they are more than happy for customers to bring their own. They even provide glasses and bottle openers. I will be sure to visit again next time I am in Newport, and if they ever go out of business, my friends and I may just have to take over the place for the night.

After receiving a recommendation, we decided to visit this curry house on a Saturday evening for dinner. We were not disappointed. The extremely helpful staff assisted us in choosing a variety of appetizers and mains from the chef's special dishes, all of which were excellent. It was simply the best curry we had eaten in a long time. The restaurant also allows you to bring your own alcohol, making it even more worth it. Overall, we highly recommend a visit to this establishment.

Never visited the restaurant, but ordered for over twenty years from here. says everything really! always loved her middle huh curry and keema pilau reis. tonight there was a farewell that was very enjoyed by the whole family, ordered middle chicken cure., corma chips, keema Pilau rice and pakora. get free poppadums, and salat was fresh and delicious. highly recommended.

We use the Pasa about once a fortnight and have done since it opened many years ago. In all this time, we have only ever been slightly disappointed once which was a couple of months ago when they appeared to have staffing problems. Their food...in our opinion is the best Indian Takaeay in the area, great flavours and plentiful portions. We particularly like Tarka Dall which is very good, and we usually ask to have dishes such as bhuna made a little hotter which they always get right. Last nights meal was excellent.
