Checkers Pizza - Newington

Food is good so I’m not giving a one-star. The disappointment came from the delivery driver. He had our food in his car, parked across the street from our house, and just sitting there, no calls or anything. It’s been a couple minutes and we thought it was weird, so we went up to his car to ask if he’s the pizza delivery. He then asked for tips BEFORE handing the food to us.A lot of things went wrong here: 1. You’re supposed to notify customer when you are here, not the other way around. 2. Hand your customer the food! 3. We paid tips through Slice app when ordering it so we don’t expect to tip again. 4. we don’t mind to tip the driver a little more on the spot IF they provided an excellent service. This driver’s behavior is none of that.

I usually dont do this, but I got a pizza and mozzarella sticks through doordash and they didn’t give me a condiment I ordered with it and unfortunately the pizza was pretty burnt. I have only heard good things about their food and I just feel disappointed.

Ordered food for delivery and never got the food. No one answered the phone. Horrible experience.

So glad there is a place nearby where my girl who is vegan can get a nice slice the vegan cheese and meatballs are really good on there pizza

Pizza was soaking in greasy oil,to the point it looks like a wet sponge.32$ for a this quality pizza?Good luck and thank you.
