The Millers Well - Newham

Called here on our way to Upton Park to watch football. Although we were away fans we were welcomed. All the staff were very friendly and we enjoyed a few drinks. After the football we called back in and had more drinks and a meal. As always good value food and drinks and nothing to complain about.

Never been to east ham before as i was visiting for a friends birthday and we thought we would start our night out with a nice meal and some drinks. Being a wetherspoons we know it would be cheap and cheerfull like usual however the price wasnt the only thing that was cheap. For starters we ordered a few bottles of wine for the table, instead of being served with the bottle and some wine glasses we were given a large plastic pitcher which looked like it was about 10 years old, very grubby and full of scratches along with plastic wine glasses which looked the same age and personally i could of bought better ones from Asda. Bazare as it was to be served wine in a pitcher, i understand if they dont allow glass for certain reasons but when people are drinking out of pint glasses i didn 't quite understand. We then came to order our meal myself and my friends ordered two Chicken ceaser salads and cumberland sausage and mash. About 10 minutes after ordering we were told by a member of staff their was no ceaser salad dressing could of told us when ordering and asked if we wanted anything else, not being too hungry we only wanted salad and asked if we could have any other sauce, the young lad serving didnt know what other sauces they had in the kitchen, and 5 minutes later came back to tell us he had normal salad dressing when we asked what this was he didnt know and shrugged his shoulders, getting annoyed we just gave up and took a gamble on the salad and mystery dressing. My friend was then told there were no cumberland sausages and that they only had vegetarian after waiting another 10minutes not being told at the till again getting annoyed and behind schedule we accepted whatever we got with our meals and asked if we were going to get a discount for the major delay in food and also not getting what we payed for, when we asked we got a very rude stare from the boy and his collegue who said its just sauce mate, im not giving you a discount for sauce even though in my personal opinion ceasar dressing is what makes a ceasar salad!! my friend also did not receive any form of apology or discount not to mention when the food actually came it consisted of about a handfull of salad leaves and barely any chicken or dressing, the croutons were also just bits of soggy toast cut up!!! overall the pub was nice and it has a nice atmosphere but the service and food even for a wetherspoons was horrific! very rude staff with very little experience. Safe to say i will not be going back.

Everything was great. The burrito was excellent and the prices were very affordable.

This is a lovely place to have a burger and chips before West Ham beats another away team. This time it was Norwich, OK it was a 2 2 draw but the atmosphere and food is traditional British!

Visited before the football game. On the day of our visit the place was short staffed as three of them did not turn up for work. They had no plan B so the service was slow and offered only limited menu. This must be the worse Weatherspoon pub we have ever visited. The place has great atmosphere and layout is great. It nice and clean with beer garden at back.
