I'd rather get a burger elsewhere, or even take a trip to subway Contrary to the government website. Passyunk Avenue were not applying the August pandemic discount. I
As a US citizen, I was really excited about going here. Unfortunately, it was not up to the standard of any Philly Cheesesteak I've had. My main issues were: The bread was cold: It's meant to be on oven warmed bread The steak seemed unseasoned and not in any sauce A huge over reliance on Cheese Wiz (which may be American, but it's not OK. Good places in Philly use 2 3 types of real cheese per hoagie). Salad. Some slices of tomato and a few chunks of iceberg are hardly going to add nutritional value, and it seemed like they were tossed in there to take up space. The wings were forgettable. The mozzarella sticks were plump which was nice, but didn't really taste of anything and weren't goey The Mac N Cheese had bacon sprinkles but more over reliance on Cheese Wiz, with a meagre dusting of parmesan on top. The staff were friendly and the service was prompt. My advice is to streamline the menu and do fewer things, but better. I am glad I didn't order loaded fries as they looked like fries smothered with Cheese Wiz. We won't be going back which is really disappointing, as London does really need a good Philly Cheesesteak place.
I went to the Westfield branch last weekend on 1/2/20 and ordered the classic cheesesteak and wings. The cheesesteak consisted of just a lot of melted cheese in a baguette, and the wings were not enjoyable at all. I will not be returning and would rather eat a Yorkie bar.
One more time I will keep it short as there is not much to say about this place. I ordered two baguette full size, a Roast Pork and a South Phily Style Chicken Parm and both were tasteless and looking disgusting. Starting with the bread, probably from frozen, and ending with the filling everything was bad and at £10 each, clearly overpriced. Personally i would never recommend this place.
I used to frequent the food truck at Ropemaker Place and loved it, as well as trying the location on Cleveland Street. However, this particular restaurant is disappointing. The steak is tough and questionable in quality. The sandwich has hardly any filling compared to what I have had before. The chips had all the seasoning hidden underneath them (see photo). It is expensive and not worth the price. It's a shame.
