Fantastic food, staff were great and atmosphere brilliant. Cant wait to go again.

I didn't look much outside, but I was good side and garden. burger was very nice.

Pros: Beautiful garden, excellent San MiguelCons: There are three signs on the way into the garden reading, “TABLE SERVICE ONLY!”, however I had to go inside and shout for someone’s attention. After finishing my first pint I was was waving my arms for twenty minutes trying to get someone’s attention to be served again. Eventually, someone came, tapped his watch, and told us they were closing. So rude! I never treat my customers like that so don’t expect to be treated like that, especially when my wife and I were the only customers. I did get a half-hearted apology and a giggle from the manager/owner on the way out though.If you’re looking for a drink or some food in Newent, go to The George or Black Dog. You’ll get a nice, personal welcome free from pretentiousness.

The brunch at this restaurant is amazing, the coffee is great, and the staff is lovely. There is a large room on the side with plenty of space for strollers, and they have the best cakes!
