Wai Ho - Newcastle upon Tyne

Menus in shop say one price, but the woman behind the counter charged a higher price. When pointed out to the woman behind the counter, that what I was charged was a higher price than what the menu said, her reply was that the menu price was wrong!! Have used wai ho for years, won't be going back and definitely would not recommend it!!

We have been using this takeaway for years. Alice who works there is lovely, Every meal we have ever had is fresh and delicious. King prawn curry and chicken in green chilli and garlic are delicious. Never had a bad meal from here so very surprised at the bad reviews.

Loyal patron but service standards have slipped a lot over the past year or so. There was a time you could pay by card but it's cash only now (in the middle of a pandemic, handling cash a 1000 others have handled... Why do this?? . Also, collection orders used to get a free bag of prawn crackers, not any more, that'll be £2 please. I chose to collect as the last two delivery orders were missing items. Don't get me wrong, the food is delicious, but the service is heading in one direction: downwards. Shame.

Waited over 2 hours and no food, told an hour and half. Rang a couple of times to find out what was happening and on the last call the woman on the phone hung up on me. Disgraceful service.

Just had salt &chili chicken with plain noodles plus sweet and sour pork in batter . Both were absolutely cooked to perfection ,and we will try other recipes on the menu. L
