Vallum Farm Restaurant

After a refreshing walk in the cold, we returned to this restaurant and were very pleased with our experience. The four of us all agreed that Sunday dinner was fantastic. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was knowledgeable, striking the perfect balance between being friendly and professional.

The food at this restaurant is excellent, but be prepared for a loud atmosphere in the main room due to the metal roof and wooden floor. The staff is attentive and friendly, and the drinks are reasonably priced.

The restaurant has a wonderful and cozy ambiance. The nut topping on the dishes was the best I have ever tasted, even better than the one I make at home.

Booked table, but when we arrived, they ran out quite a lot of menu. I said it was because of going into. Only had beef, fish and chips or veggie option. Same problem with appetizers and desserts. It's a little outside, so it's not like you can show up elsewhere. To be fair, beef was nice, but it's about the only plus. 4 times asked for bill and then waited to pay we just got up. It is also not a cheap meal, so expect more for your money and I would suggest if you want to go then do not reserve. I wanted earlier, but it was said on site that it was completely booked. Something from a bad day with friends, so I wouldn't travel for the risk and price. Many beautiful places ready to take less money.

A lovely setting for a great Sunday lunch locally sourced food and ales. All of us thoroughly enjoyed the food and the waiting staff were friendly and attentive. Will certainly be back the next time we're in the area.
