Tivoli - Newcastle upon Tyne

I have been dining at this restaurant every month or so for years and I always find it to be an excellent choice, whether it's for breakfast or lunch. The table service is top-notch, and I love the addition of the beautiful white linen tablecloths. There is a great mix of customers here, and if you're lucky enough to snag a table by the window, you'll have a fantastic view of Greys Monument. It feels like a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city center. I even had a fantastic Christmas lunch here with a group of friends. The food is delicious and well-presented, and the staff are wonderful. I really hope this place reopens soon.

I have visited this restaurant several times and found personal, friendly service as well as good food. On one occasion my friend wasn't satisfied with part of her meal and received an offer of a replacement as well as a full refund on payment of the bill. The staff are friendly without being intrusive, they wait a reasonable time before asking if you are enjoying your meal as well as offering to take a picture of the occasion

Visited this restaurant on a Tuesday afternoon about 2pm, found a table within 5mins as this restaurant gets very busy, the food ends at 2-45pm but restaurant stays open if you need. a drink. The restaurant tables are very clean with white tablecloths, shining cutlery and a very good food menu. Staff are efficient in every way. The menu has a two course or three course price list prices around £12 95 and £15 95. The food is always piping hot, well presented and very delicious. Drinks normal prices. Their are lots of room for wheelchairs ect. You will find this restaurant in the main shop Fenwicks in Newcastle upon Tyne.

Out with wife and expecting daughter this time. Fenwicks have a decent baby department hence our presence there. We took a break for lunch and opted for the sit down table service offered by the Tivoli. Surroundings nice and clean, service efficient and cheery. My wife had the roast which she tells me was excellent, my daughter the vegetable lasagne which passed with flying colours and I had the scampi. Fish or scampi always carries a risk in that you may get chips prepared offsite and finished in the kitchen according to the order pattern. I can understand the economy of this to an extent but that doesn't improve the taste of chips that aren't fresh. However, the dessert and a splendid pot of tea made up for the slight disappointment. Overall very good and will go again. ps. It is popular for lunches so make haste and get there early.

I went here with my Gran for lunch and it was a great experience. Lovely atmosphere, nice decorations and peaceful. The staff were friendly and we were served quickly. We both had the roast chicken, it was delicious and the mash potato was also really nice.
