Today we had the afternoon for my sister baby shower, we had the private room and there were 24 of us overall. everything was amazing from beginning to end. roy was so helpful and patient to help me organize everything and the day the employees were unbelievably too, extremely helpful and attentive. Eating was nice and the intention of this world. Many thanks.

Fabulous meal with the family. Great food in a nice relaxed atmosphere. The friendly staff were very helpful and accomodating. I would recommend this place. The restaurant with a view ! Been here on several occasions, for meals in the restaurant, afternoon tea and drinks. Great views of the Sage and bridges along the River Tyne from the seating area with sofas. Whether you go for the taster menu, meal deals or specials you will enjoy the experience. If you are in a budget, go for the early evening meal deal. Failing that, just enjoy a drink or afternoon tea with a view. Enjoy your visit.

If you're trying to impress your date and you don't mind a hangover from your purse/ wallet then go here. The staff are attentive and the menu has that premium feel to it. If you're just fancying a casual afternoon drink with a view... you'll pay the same prices, and the view on the none Tyne side (where we were sat, despite it not being busy) are not that special.

We were at Six restaurant for a Hen's afternoon, there were 12 of us for afternoon tea. The ambience was lovely fresh and bright however the service was appalling. Although the staff were all really pleasant we had drinks missed from the order, we had to request a refill of tea 3 times, the food was a massive let down as all the reviews I had previously read were all glowing. Scones dry and hard, sandwiches under par, some of the cakes were nice and you could hardly make out the difference between the butter and the supposedly clotted cream. I don't usually make a bad review but would like to prevent someone else being as disappointed as we were. Sorry Six but you really need to up your game so that your food matches the criteria of your restaurant and written menu. We did complain and they did take 33% off the bill which was generous however we still paid in excess of £330 and it really was not worth it.
