After attending the Queens Baton Relay, we decided to have dinner at this restaurant. Despite the crowd and noise, we were placed in a nice corner away from a rowdy group of men celebrating a stag party. The service was outstanding, especially given the busy atmosphere. Our starters arrived promptly, our drinks were consistently refilled, and the food was delicious. A special thank you to Tammy for her exceptional service, her helpful and friendly demeanor, and for being so wonderful with the children.
My husband and I were staying at The Vermont Aparthotel for a couple of nights because I had day surgery the next day. During lockdown, we ordered takeaway from the restaurant over the phone and picked it up. The food was ready at the scheduled time. The prices were reasonable, and we received a 15% discount for ordering a certain amount. The prawn cocktail was delicious with a crispy salad, tasty sauce, and succulent king prawns. My spaghetti Carbonara was mouthwatering with a creamy sauce and a side of Parmesan cheese. My husband loved his meat feast pizza, noting the variety of meats included, even steak! The garlic bread and chips were also tasty. We look forward to returning to dine in the restaurant one day while in Newcastle. We highly recommend ordering takeaway from here during lockdown.
Been many times before and will still continue to visit. Went with friend only two of us for Sunday lunch and got to the restaurant for 12.15 Busy as per usual but could not have got a worse table if we tried, table placed in middle of walk way to the cavery. In a nutshell trying to fit as many customers in as possible. This meant people knocking your chair both staff and customers and people walking right next to you whilst eating your lunch might as we all sat on my lap. Service was good as per usual next time rather wait for a better table.
