I really enjoy the kartoffel skins they make at this restaurant.

El Castano, situated on Osborne Road in Jesmond, is a lovely little restaurant. The staff are friendly and the food is gorgeous, with a wide range of traditional Spanish dishes on offer. The bar also stocks a wide range of draught and bottled alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The atmosphere in the establishment is relaxed and intimate, with candles and fab decor. I had no problems in booking a table for a Saturday night and the food was very reasonably priced. We ate chicken cooked in white wine and garlic, chorizo, meatballs, potatoes cooked with onions and peppers, garlic mushrooms and garlic bread. The food was superb and the bottle of Bulmers that wed rank were also lovely! I'll definitely go back to El Castano.

El castano, located on the osborne road in jesmond, is a beautiful little restaurant. the personal is friendly and eating is beautiful, with a wide range of traditional Spanish dishes offered. the bar also holds a wide range of drowned and bottled alcoholic and alcohol-free drinks. the atmosphere in the device is relaxed and intimate, with candles and fab decor. I had no problems booking a table for a Saturday night and eating was very cheap. we ate boiled in white wine and garlic, chorizo, meatballs, carrots with tweezers and paprika, garlic mushrooms and garlic bread. the food was great and the bottle bulmers that wet ranked were also beautiful! I'm going back to el castano.

Great spot for grabbing a drink with friends in a cozy, intimate setting.
