Przekaż informację zwrotnąWe ordered pizza and pasta at this restaurant. The pizza was delicious, but the pasta was not as great. We had to wait for 20 minutes before we were finally seated at a side bar.
I only dined at this restaurant once and was not impressed. I also tried their tapas during a John Lewis event, and found the rice balls to be greasy and the bruschetta to be heavy.
I went to the restaurant on Friday at 5pm, so it was quite quiet. The service was slow at first. We started with the cheesy focaccia bread, which was nice and I liked that it was made in a wood oven. For the main course, we had pizza and wild mushroom and truffle oil risotto. The dishes were tasty and the portions were good. We had a table overlooking the shoppers, which was great for people watching. However, I was surprised to see a 12.5% service charge added to the bill for a table of two, especially since the service was nothing special.
This franchise is located within the John Lewis store on the first floor and is open store hours (last order 1 hour before store closing time). The staff are almost all Italian, so friendly and efficient. The pizza dough is proved for 24 hours before use. Pizzas are hand made and cooked in a wood fired oven and are simply the best we have ever had.
