We have visited a few times and had the delightful service from him consistently.. well done .. we will be back .. keep it up amazing
The Sunday roast chicken was beautifully cooked, just the way I like it – moist and with perfectly cooked vegetables. The plate was filled with vibrant, green veggies. We will definitely be returning here many times. The food and cocktails were reasonably priced, with a 2 for £12 deal. I highly recommend this restaurant! The staff were polite and friendly. We'll be back soon!
We'd passed this restaurant the night before, and it looked cosy and busy. We went the following day when we wanted a late lunch c3pm and wanted a proper lunch for 4 people. There was a set menu which looked very good value, but we only wanted one course each so opted a la carte. The menu catered very well for diverse tastes. We had: Fish pie: large; a lot of mixed fish; good sauce taste and texture; excellent mash topping. Fish and chips: large; crispy; beautifully flaking large fish; good chips. Pork belly: refined; tasty; non-greasy a clever dish. Pie of the day: absolutely HUGE. Oxcheek in a red wine reduction, with a generous helping of mash and assorted greens. All of the dishes were very good. Service was friendly. Restaurant spacious with well-spaced tables, comfortable for lunch and would also make a great spot for dinner for freinds or a datenight. Really nothing to fault?
Visited here for drinks and food previously have always enjoyed whatever I have had. Ate here early evening on Monday with my Mum…we were the only ones on the restaurant, which was a shame, but the food service were great. Mum had fish pie I had the 2 course special which was exceptional value, Mussels to start (the white wine cream sauce was amazing) corn fed chicken which was delicious! The fish pie was full of fish, which we were told was halibut, salmon I think, sea bass. Special mention to The samphire seaweed on the side of the fish pie, utterly delicious! Would definitely recommend…ideal also if you’re staying at Motel One on High Bridge, as just a few doors down.
The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance and offers fantastic cocktail options.
