I was so impressed with this restaurant! The food was incredibly delicious and came out quickly. The overall experience was smooth and rated a 10/10. We started with Trash Browns and VGN Wachos, both of which arrived shortly after our drinks. The Trash Browns, in particular, were amazing with their liquid cheese topping. The Candy Floss Cocktail was a unique treat with layers of flavor. The burgers were also fantastic, but we were too full after the starters to finish them. The hand-cut chips were a nice touch, seasoned with Cajun spices. The menu had a dedicated vegan section, and most items could be made vegan if desired. The staff were busy but managed to accommodate everyone as best as they could. Despite the hustle, they seemed content and attentive. The restaurant had a cozy underground vibe with good lighting and exposed brick walls. We sat by an old fireplace, which added to the ambiance. The waiters were efficient and helpful, even providing takeaway boxes upon request. There were multiple stairs, so it may not be wheelchair-friendly, but there could be another entrance. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I look forward to returning.

Tempered by the menu for this place, as the photos looked crazy! The food delivered exactly how the pictures saw, but maybe we were not hungry enough, as both meals seemed excessive! The taste and quality were great, but after a while everything felt too greasy. The salad wedge, although a simple product was absolutely delicious and necessary to cut the rest! Go but make sure you have an appetite

Me and my husband visited today on the recommendation of my niece, her husband and 13 year old daughter. We are so pleased we came, it was my husband's Birthday. Food was very tasty, best onion rings ever! We were advised before we came not to order starters and we were pleased we didn't. If we'd had starters I don't think we would have finished our main meal which would have been a shame. Waiters are very pleasant and do not hassle you when ordering. Loved everything about the place nd we will certainly return.

Insane food and great staff. This place is a must visit and I am sure all Fat Hippos are the same. You won’t be disappointed. Portion size is huge, so do feel you need to order loads. It is a very popular establishment, so ensure you book in advance. Top Tip: the Cheese Balls are nothing like you’ve tasted before. A must have

I went to this restaurant for lunch with my two sons, one of whom was in a stroller. The staff were very helpful and assisted me in bringing the stroller downstairs. The food was delicious and my 11-year-old son claimed that his chocolate milkshake was the best he had ever tasted. The children's portions were quite generous; my 11-year-old usually eats adult meals, but the servings on the older kids' menu were ample for him. Additionally, they had some delicious cocktails along with their amazing burgers.
