Whitmore Tearooms

Very disappointing, there was an issue on the day staff were rushed after bringing this to the manager owners attention they were not interested would not recommend this venue avoid.

I noticed a significant decrease in the food quality compared to my previous visit. The beef turkey tasted like processed rubbery meat you would find in cheap supermarkets, which was very disappointing. Additionally, we were given only one small jam pot to share between two people, which was ridiculous. I do not plan on returning to this restaurant.

I went with my family for afternoon tea to celebrate a 60th birthday, but was very disappointed. For £21.95 each, we received only 1 piece of cake, a small scone, 4 small sandwich triangles, and a pot of tea that was supposed to be topped up, which I did not know about until after we had paid. After looking at the menu, I realized it would have been £10 cheaper if we had ordered sandwich, cake, and tea separately. In comparison to another venue we visited a few weeks later for afternoon tea, this experience was quite poor. At the other venue, we each received 4 beautiful cakes, 1 1/2 large scones, extra sandwiches that we were informed about upon arrival, and top-up tea as well. We even asked for boxes to take home the cakes we could not finish, and were surprised to find cupcakes included in the boxes. The service was much more attentive and the overall experience was better value for money. The tables were well-dressed and the crockery was lovely, unlike Whitmore where the tea was served in heavy earthenware teapots despite the china cups and saucers. I would gladly pay £4 more to return to the second venue we visited a few weeks later as we felt that experience was truly special.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The room was beautiful, the food was top-notch, and the service was excellent. Neve, our waitress, was delightful and took great care of us throughout our visit. We enjoyed a perfect afternoon tea with prosecco, making it a wonderful celebration for our family and friends.

Surprise treat organised by my friend. Never been for afternoon tea but it didn't disappoint. Firstly the venue is super clean, well spaced out and just beautiful. The selection was great I personally opted for the pate with chutney which was delicious and my friend had soup and sandwiches. A glass of wine was also enjoyed. We booked for 12 so it was quiet on arrival however it got really busy as it is obviously popular. Lovely experience, lovely surroundings and I will definitely go again. Thank you its a gem
