Artisan The Biscuit Factory - Newcastle

I've been here twice now, and each time has been amazing. I truly can't find anything to criticize about this place. The food, the service, and the value—everything meets the expectations of a great restaurant.

My mother and I enjoyed a wonderful à la carte lunch, and it was truly impressive. My only suggestion is that the portion sizes are a bit larger than average, though that’s likely just a matter of personal preference. The food was absolutely beautiful, and I say that coming from someone whose mother has managed AA-rosette-awarded restaurants. Thank you for taking such great care of us!

On our first night in Newcastle, we were thoroughly impressed with Artisan. The food was excellent, and the service was both efficient and friendly. I had mentioned in my reservation that we were celebrating my boyfriend's birthday, and they brought out our desserts with "happy birthday" messages written in chocolate on the plates—a lovely gesture! We'll definitely be returning.

Amazing local produce, staff who know EVERYTHING about the dishes, how they can be adapted to dietary needs and which wine best suits each dish. Outstanding value for true gourmet cuisine! Can not recommend Artisan highly enough! Was well worth the 10-15 minutes walk up the hill from the Quayside, about 5 mins from Northumbria university.

Best meal I've ever eaten. From the service on arriving, to receiving the bill everything was superb.
