City Cafe - Newbern

The catfish was delicious! Be sure to stop by for a fantastic meal. Oh yes, it's the real deal!

They close at 2:00 PM. The food is good, but they should consider staying open later to better serve everyone in Newbern.

The burgers have become noticeably drier lately. I stopped going for a couple of years but decided to try them again recently. Unfortunately, they are still dry.

I had the hamburger and fries, and they were fantastic. I also ordered fried okra, which was delicious. My husband got chili, white beans, and cornbread, and he said it was good as well. The cornbread was the hot water variety and had a nice flat texture; it was great. I noticed they were playing dominoes in the back, creating a lively atmosphere.

Just good food, in a HomeTown atmosphere. Come check it out
