Ted's Grill - Newark

I visited this restaurant, particularly the bar area, as a non-smoker and decided to try their vegetarian pizza. It turned out to be quite good! The flatbread was topped with plenty of ingredients, including white goat cheese and a delicious marinara-style tomato sauce. It was a hearty meal, but note that they don't offer personal-sized pizzas or individual portions. For someone traveling alone, this means quite a bit of uneaten food, which is a shame.

I'm giving this 2 stars because the waitress was amazing. She saved this from getting no stars. The food was bland and did not match the description on the menu. When another customer said something the chef came out to approach them and was extremely unprofessional. He then talked so loud about it to the staff for another 30 minutes making it very uncomfortable to be there.

Hahaha. Wow. I have no words for how bad the meal was. The waitress was wonderful though.

Restaurant says it's open ... it's not. When you are travelling all day and pay for a cab to be dropped off, only to see the entire hotel and restaurant is not open at all, and then wait for another cab to come get you. Change your Google hours to CLOSED until you actually plan to reopen. Thanks!

It’s almost embarrassing how terrible my experience was here- on two separate occasions. Horrible service- the waitstaff was incredibly slow, distracted, very timid (I’m not sure they received any training at all). At one point someone seated next to me tried to order a coffee because we had all been waiting for close to ten minutes after being seated and the manager came out and basically told them to go somewhere else. It was really bad. Also, the food is crazy overpriced for what you get. I would never come here if it weren’t for the convenience of it being inside the hotel.
