Stone Balloon Ale House - Newark

Our first trip back to Stone Balloon in years. We went for the Taco Tuesday 3 for $10,000. A really good deal. Tacos were delicious, like the chicken dumplings. Our server Holly was really good and REALLY busy. It looks like she was the only server that worked the noon layer. She was everywhere. She was very friendly and helpful, which was amazing as she had some customers. She showed no stress. There are two suggestions I would make. At first we had no idea that there was a special taco menu so that they should output with the regular menu. Secondly, since tacos are creepy to eat another napkin would be a great idea. We look forward to our next visit!

Disappoint. After the local award 3 years in a row, thought it would be a good place for late lunch. Service was slow (not crowded day at all, much wait staff), and food was just ok. My daughter ordered Burrata Salat. has no salad at all. You take it when it comes to salad section with greens, but we were wrong. My chicken fingers were tasty, but there were only 3 small ones for dinner plated and sat a while before I got them.. My sweet potato fries were hardly warm and not crispy at all. Husband's sandwich looked good. When I asked him how it was, he said it was good. Wait, the staff was really nice, I'm going to be compliment. So many great places to eat here will not eat again. Maybe for drinks, but no meal.

Beer tasted like vinegar the keg lines not clear. Order black bean burger. No black bean burgers, but they let me know how others are served at the table. Then ordered a cheese steak instead. No roles. And that was early on a Saturday night.

To eat at Stone Balloon and our waiter is Peter. His customer service is PHENOMENAL. He is so aware of the menu and what works well together. My partner didn't know what to choose beer to put his acquired taste, but Peter quickly called him a beer he enjoyed! He gave great advice and recommendations and made our experience so pleasant! Thank you. Definitely will be back

If you want to find a place with a comfortable/casual vibe with fun menus and a great happy hour, look no further. I've had the pleasure to enjoy multiple menu items, but they were so good that I forgot to take pictures before diving in lol.
