Two salads, a sandwich and a glass wein $120 us I get it, food in airports is not always the best. this experience was averaged, but a bit overpriced for my taste.
I would rate this place a minus 10 if possible, purely based on the atrocious behavior of the waiter! We entered and took the ONLY available table, which was for up to six people. Instead of sitting in the middle, we chose the two end chairs to leave space for another person or couple to join us at the other end. However, the waiter came over and rudely told us we couldn’t sit there because he was reserving it for a larger party. He actually told us to leave! We have never experienced such rudeness before! We will definitely not be returning.
The restaurant was only half full when we arrived. We attempted to sit at a table that was a bit more isolated from other diners, considering the ongoing pandemic. However, the manager insisted that we couldn’t sit there and tried to push us to sit very close to other customers. We explained our medical conditions and our wish to maintain social distancing, reminding him of the pandemic situation, but the manager was unwavering in his unreasonable stance. He rudely remarked that they only adhere to CDC guidelines when it is convenient for them. Despite the restaurant being half empty, he claimed that the tables we preferred were reserved for potential future customers. We told him we would leave if we couldn’t find a safe seating option, but he seemed indifferent to our concerns. As a result, we left and will definitely not be returning. Be cautious!
The restaurant was very overpriced with disappointing quality. I paid over $5 for a latte, but the milk texture was off, and the espresso tasted strange. It definitely lacked the fine milk foam made from proper steaming. The Eggs Benedict I ordered for $20 arrived not just lukewarm but actually cold, and the “warm and toasty English muffin” was cold and soggy. As for the potatoes, they should have been crispy but were instead cold, soft, and mushy. For a $30 meal, even at an airport, I expected much better. Just as I was about to leave, I noticed a beautifully steaming hot omelette served to the man next to me, so it seems like it could be a hit or miss. Unfortunately, my experience was certainly a miss.
