Krugs Tavern - Newark

Not a local Newark type, grown up in Philly, Charter Pilot now travel worldwide. Had to drop an employee at the airport and had heard of this place a long time ago. Decided to dip and check. Parking was difficult to find at 1900L. Was sure a hole in the wall, that's exactly my alley. I prefer local chains every day. Sah at the bar and had a very warm reception from Claudia. She recommended the Bacon-Käseburger, so I had to. She alone makes the trip worth, amazing customer service. If you made a big, fat juicy hand Burger, this joint is what the doctor ordered. They killed it absolutely! My burger was fresh, you see how the plasters are right in front of you. Wait a bit, but it's worth it. Perfectly medium. In some cheese, too, not my usual jam. They didn't look as good as they were. I was completely happy with them. If they offer pimples and pepper, I highly recommend. Pepper is hot, so ready! Experience was brilliant, next time I'm in EEA, I'll pass for another burger! Thank you. Come out and support your local businesses and avoid chains!

I could have sworn that I had written a review for this place a long time ago. It's famous for its burgers, and right. They are very generous in their proportions, although I would say that if you tend to order medium rarely. Is it the best burger in New Jersey? In the taste profile, honestly no, but it is still a very good burger in a very generous part in a very cool place. If you are strictly looking for a bar while this is not a bad option, there are better options in the Newark area. But if you're looking for a burger and a beer in the Newark area, this is the best option I'm aware of. Note that the parking lot suck, but go and enjoy.

Truly the best burger in NJ!!! At least of all the places I have been... ? Great ambiance for everything, including the patrons and the Raging Bull memorabilia. Jack La Motta is alive and well inside Krug's.
