I was visiting someone in the hospital and had the worst eating experience at KFC. We usually love KFC, but this particular location should be closed down. I will be contacting someone about it.
They need to change the frying oil more frequently as the chicken and fries are overcooked and burnt.
I would like to warn others who may be parking in this area. There is an individual who will lock their car and demand $200 from anyone who parks there, unless they can provide proof of purchasing something from nearby stores. They asked me to transfer the money to their personal account, but I refused. I'm unsure if this person is behaving legally or ethically, but their attitude was extremely rude. $200 is a significant amount of money and it's better spent elsewhere than lining the pockets of this individual.
I had breakfast at the restaurant, then had to leave to get bloodwork done. When I returned 15 minutes later, I found a boot on my car. The parking ticket was frustrating, and the food was not good. The owner should invest in better quality ingredients and stop cutting corners. However, the staff was polite. I would recommend going to Chicken Magician on the corner instead. It's unfortunate that this happened to me. It seems like the owner is trying to make extra money by putting expensive boots on cars and hiring off-duty cops from Newark. It's not a good business practice.
The chicken was overly oily and blackened from over-frying, as were the potatoes. It appeared as though the food had been re-fried after sitting for a period of time. This was the worst meal I have ever ordered, it completely ruined our lunch and we ended up losing money.
