Bird In Hand Pub - Newark and Sherwood

We recently discovered a new favorite restaurant that serves a deliciously juicy and tasty fried chicken burger.

This pub near Lotus is impressive and consistently good. Despite the small town it's located in, I highly recommend a visit if you find yourself in the area. The steak and ale pie is delicious, filling, and perfect for a cold winter's day. The meal also comes with tasty fries and steamed vegetables. The fish and chips are another great option, served with perfectly cooked green peas. However, I did find the fish bones in my dish to be a bit annoying. The batter on the fish is light and crispy, but can become soggy easily. While not the best fish and chips I've had in the UK, they are decent. They offer a selection of beer and cider for those who enjoy alcohol. Keep in mind that they only accept chip and pin cards or cash, American credit cards are not accepted.

Beautiful meal from new menu of locally sourced produce we all enjoyed our meals. Very tasty and generous portions we will definitely be eating here again. Lovely atmosphere and great staff especially the cook Joan lovely lady and we highly recommend
