Most outlets around the city or brooklyn have specific vegan items, this place was just a normal market that naturally says on it because they sell boars head meat, salatbar had not much what was even impressive and hot bar/sandwiches might have 1 option on each.

For the opposite, you could make much worse. I come here for snacks on the way – nuts, dried and fresh fruits, tee. I never had the sandwiches or much of the salatable, but it looks fresh.

The thing that highlights this place is its location. Not that the situation is good: on the contrary, it is a terrible situation; unless you live / work in the area or visit the Intrepid or Javits center, there is little reason to go to this part of the city that goes a car-heavy and unpleasant place. However, if you are stuck in this area, this place has its plus pages. It is not really a health food shop; it is more like a very big bodega. However, they offer organic products, juices, and have a selection of frozen vegan products and take vegan products that are more than what you usually find in a store this size. If you are able to go about 10 blocks south, however, there is a Whole Foods Store that has a better choice and prices.
