Otto's Tacos - New York City

Simple and straight forward menu. Really great staff, friendly. Chicken tacos juicy, fresh, flavorful, great corn tortilla, salsa spot on. Mexican coca cola. Mostly stool seating, bathroom requires code. Highly recommended.

This places reminds me of Torchy’s Tacos back home except not as many options to choose from. I got a carnitas taco. It was great. The meat was tender and the ingredients were fresh. It was juicy without making my corn tortilla fall apart. The staff was friendly and the area was clean. Not busy for lunch time on a Thursday. I’ll return if I’m really feeling a taco or trying one of the burritos or bowl.

The corn tacos have an incredible flavor and are warmed to perfection. They're also sturdy enough that they won't tear while you eat. The taco bowl is another excellent choice, offering a generous portion of each ingredient that's perfect for sharing. All the meats are fantastic options, but I particularly love the carnitas.

Fantastic tacos! I tried the chicken and the seasonal veggie, which was mushrooms, and both were bursting with flavor. If you’re not a fan of cilantro, you might want to think twice, as they’re loaded with it—luckily, I love cilantro! The service was excellent; a woman even apologized for the cooking time, although it felt pretty quick to me.

We were excited to try this location, as we are big fans of Otto's on 2nd Ave, and we were not disappointed! We learned something new: each Otto's prepares its own food. There isn't a massive commissary making giant batches of salsa somewhere. Everything is fresh! The service was quick and efficient, even during the busy times when we visited. Plus, the restrooms were clean! By the way, there was a very funny sign in the restroom. We love the regular tacos, but we are also fans of the "gordon," which is a crunchy, thicker Native American-style tortilla. Overall, Otto's deserves an A+ in every aspect. It was amusing to watch people walk into the fast food places on the street and think, "You’re missing out on the best tacos in NYC!"
