Minamoto Kitchoan - New York City

I used to frequent the London store on Piccadilly before it closed last year, so I was thrilled to discover this branch in New York. The store's design is fantastic, featuring a variety of intriguing Japanese objects that change according to different themes, like the Lunar New Year or Koinobori during Tango no Sekku. The staff are consistently polite and helpful, and the selection of delicacies is outstanding. My personal favorite is the senbei, but everything here is excellent, so you won’t be disappointed with anything you choose. Plus, all the items are beautifully packaged, making them perfect for gifts.

I visited for the first time and tried a selection of mochi. It was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend it if you're a fan of mochi and other sweet treats.

I absolutely love this place! They offer a wide variety of traditional Japanese sweets that you won't be able to find in any grocery store. It's also a great spot for picking up gifts!

Very friendly and accommodating staff! Also everything that's sold here just tastes so amazing! I also love the small attention to detail they give. For instance, on one of the rainy days I went, they gave me a plastic cover so that my box won't get soaked in the rain!I am definitely returning here again for gifts and special occasions.

Cleanly, cute shop dedicated for Japanese sweets. I bought a box of tsuya and they lasted really well for the whole week. Extremely cute packaging so great for gift giving :
