To my delight, I discovered a vegan chocolate pudding on the menu. Although it was originally supposed to come with caramelized orange, they had run out and kindly offered me mixed berries instead—one of my favorite combinations! The chocolate was rich, the pudding had a perfect texture, and the berries were just delightful. I will definitely be returning, and if this pudding is any indication of their culinary talent, I can't wait to try more!
Fantastic food! The caprese hero was insane--the freshest mozz, incredible pesto and the bread :o Ditto the meatball sub and lentil soup. Super nice chef-owners. Will definitely be returning.
They are located in Essex market. The food is perfect it’s homey and delicious. I totally recommend them.
The staff here are truly wonderful. My favorite dishes are both the lasagnas and the eggplant parmigiana. I also tried a sandwich once, and it was excellent—good bread, which is hard to come by. The flavors of the lasagnas take me back to a pasta Al uovo in Rome, reminiscent of the tasty yet casual food you'd find at a city market during lunchtime. They often offer complimentary cookies and serve generous portions, which is a nice touch.
What a very pleasant surprise! I had the vegetarian lasagna and Pilar (the owner) gave me a thumb print cookie as a gift. The lasagna was perfectly balanced, delicate and delicious, I was not expecting this surprise!
