L’amico - New York City

I had a fantastic evening at L'Amico. We enjoyed the yellowtail tuna sashimi dressed in a light lemon and oil vinaigrette, followed by incredibly tender char-grilled octopus. For the main course, we had fish and seared scallops, accompanied by a side of zucchini with preserved lemon. Every dish was exceptional in quality. The service was excellent, the prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was lovely. I highly recommend this restaurant!

This is a fantastic spot for lunch! The service is wonderful, and the staff is very courteous. The food is delicious, especially the salad. It's definitely worth a visit to enjoy this delightful place and watch the world go by.

The mushroom pizza was delicious, and the wine selection was impressive. The bartender assisted me in choosing an excellent wine, and the service was remarkably quick for a takeout order.

A special lunch celebrating a colleague’s birthday and anniversary at work.  It was a good place, a very friendly server and very good food. Thin crust wood-oven fired pizza.  We tried the truffle and mushroom pizza.  The crust was great.  And they were generous on the truffle.

I read about L’Amico and booked it as soon as reservations became available, 30 days in advance. I then heard about it from three of my friends we had plans and when we debated where to go….they would say: “or we could try L’Amico, a new Italian spot that is supposed to be good”. And despite a few reviews I read that week that made me question my decision, we really loved the food. The pizza was delicious and the pastas were absolutely yummy. The desserts could use a little improvement though, and we were unlucky with our waiter who wasn't the friendliest of the bunch. But I would go back for that pizza!
