The chicken was very dry and it tasted like chicken tenders/nuggets with a hint of soy garlic flavoring. You get one small container of pickled radish but no free refills or complimentary kimchi (which is very common in Korean restaurants and Korean fried chicken places). It was very expensive for low quality food and not very much of it. I regret coming here and feel very disappointed that I wasted my money on this.
As others have shared, chicken is extra Crispy and has good flavor. Wish the spicy was well extra spicy. The season fries hit the spot. Be ready to spend about 25-30 per person. Only thing they need to fix is the lighting outside to make it easy to tell the place is open at night.
I’ve been a big fan of Bon Chon since when I lived in VA. It’s hard to find Bon Chon location in Elmhurst so I decided to pick up a take out at this location. The chicken was like a leftover from 2 days ago. When I got home 20mins later, it was so soft and mushy already. The outside was burnt and the meat inside was so dry and not so fresh. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!
Nice atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff. Simple menu, not a large selection. A step above fast food really. Tasty though.
Service was great. The food is on the expensive side but it was delicious. The chicken lived up to the hype, the seasoned fries were nice and crispy. The fried rice and the japchae were great as well. Will definitely be coming back.
