The food and the service was good, albeit the wait time was pretty long despite the restaurant not being busy. However, they served us an expired Diet Coke (they said they didn?t have any, so I said it was okay I didn?t need it, but it was brought outanyway) I informed them that it was expired but they still charged us $3 ???????????
A very nice atmosphere, great food and well-made drinks (I had the frozen pina colada and the frozen margarita...both were so good but the margarita was my favorite if I had to pick one to order all night...$6 each for happy hour). Our server waswonderful and always came back to us with a smile. She even gave us suggestions when we were torn between which dish to order. My friend decided on one of the specials of the day. Crab cakes with spinach, wild rice and quinoa. She really enjoyed the crabcakes and told me to try some. They were delicious. She said she didn't really care for the spinach, wild rice and quinoa mix.She said the dish could've been seasoned better. She said she would get the crab cakes again but with a different side dish. Iordered the homemade nachos. It was a large, super filling portion and really good (although I would have rather it come withblack beans instead of pinto beans). The nachos were fully loaded with grilled chicken, pinto beans, guacamole, sour cream, picode gallo, cheddar and monterey jack cheese. So many options to choose from here and we plan to return to try them. It?s alsoworth mentioning that they have a daily Happy Hour until 8pm, a rarity these days considering most happy hours end at 6 or 7 pm.
The best restaurant in Harlem! Authentic French country and rustic food made by a star chef, served by genuinely welcoming and nice wait staff. Simple and rustic decor complements the unpretentious food and makes for a leisurely and luxurious diningexperience unlike anywhere else. Truly a rare place that is a destination for people who know food, celebrate diversity and loveHarlem. One of the only places like it and the best of any around.
I visited this restaurant for a private event that included frozen margaritas, wine, and shareable appetizers. The place has a cozy atmosphere, decorated with interesting African masks and artwork on the walls. It appears to be a local favorite, with plenty of regulars, and the service was quite friendly. Our drinks were strong, and the food was served hot and fresh. I deducted one star due to the unpleasant smell in the bathroom.
