Xu's Public House - New York

We ordered the dim sum menu and tried the bok choy with garlic sauce, wagyu beef with broccoli, pork buns, and lychee martinis. Everything was served promptly and was hot and well-seasoned! The lychee martinis were quite strong but delicious. I visited on a Saturday with an 8:30 reservation, and there was no wait at all.

I was really looking forward to dining in the upstairs skylight atrium, as advertised on OpenTable, but it turned out there was a private event happening. The communication about this was quite lacking. The hostess informed me that the upstairs area was for reservations only, but I did have a reservation. Later, I found out there was an event taking place, which may explain her message. Unfortunately, this simple communication issue left a negative impression, but the rest of the staff were excellent, and the food was absolutely delicious. Because of this, I would be willing to give the restaurant another chance.

The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable, and the meal I had was exceptional. The ambiance is clean and inviting, quite different from your typical dim and crowded Chinese restaurant.

Didn 't get us a table because kitchen is closed but accepted a reservation 30m from closure. Unpfofessional.

The service was attentive. The food presentation was great. Very pretty and well formed. The food quality was fresh. All in all, was a great experience.
