tree bistro - New York

Tree Bistro was on our NYC restaurant list as a must do and we were NOT disappointed. Arriving late, we were greeted as family, given a warm corner table and were regaled by a charming proprietor. Long list of wine options by the glass. Indulged ourselves with duck pate and the seafood linguine. Had a leisurely meal away from the noise of Times Square and went home well sated!

I celebrated my 40th birthday a few months ago in June at Tree Bistro. A group of 15 of us traveled from Toronto to NYC for the weekend, with some joining us just for the dinner hosted at the restaurant on a Saturday. I can't praise it enough - the food was amazing, as everyone agreed! We ordered a variety of dishes from the menu and were impressed with how delicious each one was. The prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality of the food. The waitress, manager, and all the staff made our dining experience charming and seamless. We sat on the outdoor patio in the back, which was the perfect spot for our celebration. The restaurant was very helpful and accommodating when I made the reservation via email from Toronto. Thank you, Tree Bistro, for helping to make my milestone birthday so memorable.

A great little restaurant in the East Village for a night out with friends. We were there on Friday for exactly that reason and had excellent meals all around. I especially liked the cassoulet of duck, sausage and white beans. The wine selection was top notch as well. They also have a secret garden in the back that is great for events. When we arrived, there was a rehearsal dinner going on in the back.
